Interlock Cutters: Christmas Cookie Cutters That Tessellate

•Four Christmas cookie cutters you can print at home, shaped so every cut sits right up against the last one. There is almost no dough left between the cookies, so there is almost nothing to re-roll.
This is a project with my friend Matt. The interactive page below has the story of how it started, a dough sheet you can resize to see how much of your dough each design turns into cookies, a side-by-side table of the four designs, a guide to dough thickness, notes on printing, and the STL files in three sizes each (60, 70 and 90 mm).
This is a first release. The files have been checked by software: each is a single, closed, watertight solid, and the embossed ridges are all connected to the lip. They have not been test-printed or pressed into dough yet. Print one before you print a set.
The cutter files are released under the MIT License. You are free to print, share and modify them, as long as the licence notice stays with them.
